This seminar will focus on understanding common contract clauses and requirements that serve to transfer risk between owners, general contractors and subcontractors on construction projects.  Common risk transfer provisions and mechanisms include indemnification and hold harmless requirements, additional insured requirements, waivers of subrogation, limitations of liability and contract flow down provisions.  Because these types of common contract provisions are frequently involved and implicated in construction contract disputes, it is essential that you understand and appreciate the potential impacts they can have on your project.
