- Heat Stress Rule On June 5th , 2008 , the Division of Occupational Safety and health (DOSH) filed a new permanent rule in an effort to prevent heat exposure. Contractors have until July 5,2008, to reduce to educate , implement and enforce the new rule. The intent of the rule is to educate any employee about the hazards of working outdoors based on the personal protective equipment in use. As an Association UCAW would like to help our contractors understand their responsibilities with regard to the new mandate.
